Principals bring your staff to the museum for an unparalleled day out of school. Choose from the following programs or work with museum staff to create your own customized program. $1500 for a full day program. Includes continental breakfast. Voyaging, Voyaging, Voyaging! Maritime Lessons for Middle School Students
Teachers participate in lessons that incorporate literature, history, math, and science core curriculum with maritime arts, crafts, and technical skills. Learn how nautical symbols can help students understand poetry and how triangles help determine where a ship is located on the planet. All teachers receive a copy of lesson plans to use in their classroom.

A Captain's Log
Maritime Lessons for the Special Education Classroom

Developed in collaboration with the Richard H. Hungerford School, these lessons stimulate the senses, invite therapeutic intervention, and encourage the development of communication skills for students with developmental and learning disabilities. The lessons employ visual art, drama, math, music, language and science in a hands-on environment. All teachers receive a copy of lesson plans to use in their classroom.
