The museum's home at historic Snug Harbor is a former mariner's dormitory overlooking the Kill Van Kull, one of the world's busiest waterways. We have transformed the sailors' rooms into inspiring classrooms, furnished with art , maps, and artifacts.

Activities range from dramatic storytelling, singing, drawing, printmaking, and painting to creative writing and boat tours. Lessons can be adapted for special education, camps, and after-school programs. All programs include a guided tour of museum highlights.
